At Delapré Abbey June 7 and 8 2025

Things for Kids

There’ll be things to keep
the kids happy too

There will be kids activities at the festival too – story telling sessions hosted by Catharine Tarbun of Usborne Books at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm each day, living history in the house, face painting by Brushed Beauties Face Paint Co and a bouncy castle for smaller visitors.

The story telling and the face painting will atake place in the walled garden where there will also be some free activities for children. Delapré Abbey will be setting out a treasure hunt in the walled garden. If your little one find all the pictures, they will get a sticker. There will also be a volunteer running the Abbey’s ‘seed table’ where children get to plan their seeds for an edible plant, like a carrot or a radish, into a compostable bag which they can take home and plant straight into the ground.

There are also cookery classes for kids throughout the weekend led by Rachel Wilson from Cookery Doodle Doo in Towcester. Bookings are now open for the kids cookery classes. You can find details about these classes here.
